NATURE's 1st LAW FRI 1-1-16

Growing up as a teen in the early 90's one lesson I was taught for street survival's sake would be: "The 1st law of nature is, SELF-PRESERVATION."

This urban indoctrination led me to take a most selfish approach to life & living it. Yes. My life & its ensuing well-being, with all that that implies, would be preserved at any & all cost.

This ideology plagued me for several decades. Really until late last night. New Year's Eve of 2015. The last day of the year, moments before the sun awakens us to a new day.

Don't knowingly remember what words Reese Smith said, but it triggered an "aha" moment. Elated I blurted out, "Uuuuuuuhhhhhh! I get it now! WOW! Just came to me, just now. Praise God... The 1st law of nature is "Be fruitful & multiply."

It's right there in the scriptures.
Genesis 1:27 — And God blessed them & God said unto them, "Be fruitful & multiply, & replenish the earth & subdue it: & have dominion over the fish of the sea, & over the fowl of the air, & over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

But before we can explore what it means to be fruitful, let us excavate the meaning of the word: FRUITFUL.

In Strongs Concordance (H6509) FRUITFUL is summarized as
bear
bring forth fruit
bring forth
frutiful
be fruitful
cause to be fruitful
make fruitful
grow
increase

In the 10th edition of the Merriam-Websters's Collegiate Dictionary FRUITFUL has the following definitions
* yielding or producing fruit
* conductive to an abundant yield
* abundantly productive
* synonym = fertile

The short of it, being fruitful, is we were divinely created to produce; to be abundantly productive; to grow; to increase.
So how do we begin to be fruitful; to grow; to increase?
Well the Bible also has the answer for that.

Praise God our 1st & highest calling is to have a relationship with God. Yes, a relationship with God - a true relationship - leads to fruitfulness.

See, as you come to KNOW GOD (Philippians 3:10 John 17:3 jeremiah 9:23, 24 & spend quality time with Him, He will reveal to you your life's purpose (i.e. your God-given identity) & guide you in fulfilling it. Wow! What a God!

Only God, who made me, can tell me the purpose for which he created me. It's true. John the Baptist is proof.

It's right there in the scriptures.

John 1:19 - 28. When confronted with the interrogative question "Who are you?" John was confidently able to tell his audience who he wasn't but more importantly - WHO HE WAS. Hands down without a doubt.

"I AM the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord JOHN 1:23)

But the question remains - how did John the Baptist know exactly WHO HE indeed WAS?

The answer - TIME SPENT WITH GOD. Amen. Yes, his personal relationship with God ushered into his heart - WHO HE WAS, WHO HE WAS CREATED TO BE.

John spent quality time with God in the deserts till his ministry began at age 30 (Luke 1:80). The evidence of John's intimate relationship with God shoes bright like in John 1:33. Here we have a record of John's conversation with God, himself.

God who spent him... SAID unto him...

Despite beliefs to the contrary - GOD STILL SPEAKS TO MEN & WOMEN. Just like in the beginning, when He spoke to Adam & Eve. HE STILL SPEAKS THROUGH DREAMS. Just like in the beginning, when He spoke to Joseph through multiple ones (Genesis 37:1-10). See also Matthew 1:20-25.

I encourage you to turn off your modern technology devices, put up a "do not disturb" sign, sit quietly, after uttering "Speak Lord for Your servant hears/listens/"

Ask & it shall be given unto you. Ask God to reveal to you the thoughts & plans of good & not evil that He has for you. Ask HIm to show you the personal prophecy He has designed for your life specifically. Ask Him to show you the meaning of the dreams He lovingly blessed you with, late in the midnight hour, or during the lingering moments of high noon. Ask Him how you should respond to the revelation. ("What would you have me to do, Lord?") Ask Him to reveal the meaning of your name. Your spiritual gifts as well as the reason He blessed you with the talents that you possess? (God why can I draw? Run so fast? Play instruments? etc.)

Yes doing what He called you to do is the ultimate fruitfulness.

And our 1st calling is to have a relationship with Him. Shows in Jesus words to the man who asked, "What is the greatest commandment?" Jesus told him, "LOVE God with all your heart, soul, mind & strength."

Do this & watch your fruitfulness just massively explode onto the scene. Watch your drivenness drive you to do that which you were created to do. Watch your "need" for coffee, energy drink, & other stimulants dissipate. Watch how great you'll start feeling, how excited, how much more ALIVE. Amen. Watch how fulfilling your life's purpose will spring you outta bed, to jump start your day. Watch how determined you'll be to not let the devil & his minions thwart you from your destiny. (Let's go God!!)

Yeah God. "Let's GO!" Thank You for calling us to fruitfulness. Amen.

I leave the words of God in the flesh as final food for thought...

I AM COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE & THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE IT (LIFE) ABUNDANTLY"

P.S. Be fruitful & multiply
Grow & multiply
be abundantly productive & multiply
Increase & multiply
