God's Children

Hello, everyone. We have all heard the term "children of God", but I am afraid that most of us don't really grasp the true meaning of it.

A lot of people believe that only Christians are the children of God. Most believe that only a select number of us are intended to go to heaven. I want you to know that we are ALL God's children, every single one of us that ever has or ever will draw a breath. It does not matter if you are black, white, brown, yellow or red. It does not matter if you are gay, straight, bi, trans or other. It does not matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, Capitalist, Socialist, Communist, or Fascist. God loves us all, and I know this for a fact.

We are, each and every one of us, a physical manifestation of God's love. This is not an euphemism and it's not just pretty words to ease your pain. God loves you with every ounce of his being.

Some people may feel like their very birth was a mistake. I know the thought has crossed my mind a time or two. My real father was a biker in the '60s. I never knew him and for years it caused me immense pain. Finally, one of my older sisters told me the story. My dad had been out drinking and doing drugs, and this had been going on for several days. One of his friends convinced him that my mom, who was eight months pregnant with me, had been cheating on him and that the baby wasn't his. He came home and tried to beat me out of my mother.

None of us are mistakes, not in any way, shape or form. God wants us to have life and he wants us to be happy. Even more importantly, he wants to spend eternity with us.

You don't believe me. That's all right. Call out to him. Scream, yell, cry, cuss. However you want to do it, just do it. I dare you, because he will answer. You have my word on it. :) God has a place in heaven for each and every one of us. All he asks is for us to confirm our reservation by asking him into our lives. Open your heart to father God and he will fill you with so much love that you will feel like you might burst.

Now, I'm not saying that the devil will just leave you alone after this. Oh no, he will come after you harder than ever. But this is easily handled. Any time you feel troubled, in any way, you need to realize that it's the enemy comin' after you. Any time you think about doing something that's going to cause someone harm, even if it's you, in any way, it's an attack. Just call on God and ask him to protect you, and it will work. He will answer.

One of my favorite spiritual songs goes like this: "He's a good, good father. That's who you are and I'm loved by you. That's who I am." It's true, God bless you. Protect you and guide you through all of your days.
