Dear Julia,
Greetings in peace. I just received your recent comment regarding my "Getting Back to Basics" blog post and I wish to thank you for your words of wisdom.
Funny thing is, Julia, the realities that encompass us, be it President-Elect Trump, me being in this prison with a death sentence in slow motion for a non-violent crime, your life in society, whatever life throws at us, may or may not be to our fancy, but they are what they are. We must make the best of what we have, and we must not descend into the swamps of the disgruntlement, sadness, and contriteness.
In the holy Qur'an is a similar verse as in Ezekiel 18; it clearly states: "And thus we (i.e. God) have set up in every town great ones of its wicked people to plot therein. But they plot not except against their ownselves, and they perceive it not." 6:123. In other words, man plans and Allah (God) plans, and Allah is the best of planners. So take heart in that! :)
