Manhood!!!

Manhood!

It is not the amount of money earned (or acquired) nor the number of degrees one amasses that determines "who is" and "who is not" a man, for the individual can secure both and still be emotionally immature, irresponsible, and insensitive to the rights and needs of other human beings, even to the point of neglecting his own family. We live in a society which places so much value on materialistic objects that one becomes mentally programmed into thinking that the gold chain, the BMW, or the latest style in sneakers represent manhood. What makes a man a man will hopefully be revealed in what I'm what about to share.

If I should touch base with your reality, I salute you, for a man is rare today.

The Attributes of Manhood
*A man "meets" the challenge and does not compromise his principles to circumstances or the pressures of his conditions nor the intimidation of others. His decisions are his own yet he is not afraid, ashamed, nor considers his seeking the counsel or assistance of his women (or other men) a weakness, for he understands too well the principle if not the proverb: "Iron sharpens iron and one man sharpens another."

*Men communicate and resolve their differences intelligently. A man admits when he is wrong, out of order, or in error and doesn't feel himself a chump, fool, or sucker in doing so.

*Men are responsible for their actions and they act responsibly. A man's mind thinks in terms of intelligent options, alternatives, and consequences before deciding upon a course of action.

*A man will respect another man even though he may dislike him or they fail to get along well with one another.

*A man does not disrespect his woman or any woman, for he realizes that every woman is some man's mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, or wife. A man does not depend upon a woman for financial support.

*A man respects himself and commands respect from others by the manner in which he conducts himself.

*Men's minds search for the cause of things and not merely the effects.

*Men work to change their conditions and circumstance; boys submit and conform to them.

*Men struggle all their lives and make that struggle their discipline, their attitude, and their manner.

*A man checks and constantly renews himself, realizing that life is a continuous growth process, requiring constant adjustment, evolutions, and change.

*A man's greatest obstacle is his undisciplined self. A man without principles is likened to a body without bones. A man without morals is likened to a car on a steep hill without breaks or a steering wheel.

*A man is no stronger than the source of his knowledge, and the limits of his knowledge means the limits to his world. Regardless of the conditions or circumstances in which a man may find himself...

HE MUST BE A MAN.
