Reviewing Our Last Meal
by Albert "Ru-ai" Jones

Our Last Meal is a unique look into San Quentin death row. It focuses not on the sad and sometimes tragic would of prison but instead on the one thing all people (locked up or not) can relate to: food!

In this book, "Ru-ai" uses his 30+ years of prison experiences to recount the many ways food impacts the lives of inmates. How through the cooking and sharing process bonds are built and good times are had.

Our Last Meal is a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of the inmates whom, with very little, create spectacular meals of all kinds for all occasions. Inside the book, "Ru-ai" has compiled tons of recipes not only from his personal collection but from other death row inmates as well. The simple ingredients and easy-to-follow directions makes Our Last Meal an inviting cookbook that makes the reader eager to get cooking.
