iskimpossible,
Thank you for appreciating my story Foster the Children enough to write me. A goal of being a writer is to convince the reader to care about the characters and allow them to fell as if they have also gone through similar types of situations.
The reason why I began to write poetry was to expunge and purge my heart and soul of its negative beliefs and sickness. I have found lots of healing in writing non-fiction stories of my life. I am trying to write fiction, but I keep going back to my life's story. So until my subconscious allows me to write about other things besides childhood trauma, the Between the Bars readers are stuck with my issues.
Over time, wounds become islands upon themselves, where the inhabitants dance and cry out to their gods to be remembered.
