Merry Christmas
[Comic of two children looking at a birth of Jesus diorama.]
I dunno... I'm kinda confused myself, but it can best be explained scientifically... The baby in the manger is the son of the intelligent designer...

BTB #19

Twas the day after Christmas
And all through the house
Every creature was hurting, even the mouse
The new toys were all broken, their batteries dead;
Santa passed out a bag of ice on his head!

Wrappings and ribbons just covered the floor
While upstairs the family continued to snore
And I, in my T-shirt, new Reeboks, and jeans
Went into the kitchen and started to clean

Out on the front lawn arose such a clatter
I sprang from the sink to see what was the matter
Away to the window I flew like a flash
Tore open the curtains and raised up the sash

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a little white truck, with an oversized mirror,
The driver was smiling so lively and grand
The patch on his jacket said "U.S. Postman"

With a handful of bills, he grinned like a fox
Then quickly he stuffed them into our mailbox

Bill after bill, after bill, they still came
Whistling and shouting he called them by name
Now Dillards, now WalMart, on Penny's and Sears
Here's K-Mart, Sam's Club, Target, and Geico for years
To the tip of your limit, every store, every mall
Now charge-a-way-charge-a-way-charge-a-way all!

He whooped and he whistled as he finished his work
Filled up the mailbox and then turned with a jerk

He whooped and he whistled as he finished his work
Filled up the mailbox and then turned with a jerk
He sprang to his truck and rove down the road
Driving much faster with just half a load
Then I heard him exclaim with great holiday cheer
"Enjoy what you brought... You'll be paying all year!"

PEACE IS...
*gazing at the stars with the knowledge that you know their Creator
*closing your eyes in sleep without fear of tomorrow
*the stillness in your heart when trouble swirls around you
*a quiet mind in a raging world

Some gifts you can give this Christmas are beyond monetary value:
*Mend a quarrel
*Dismiss suspicion
*And tell someone "I love you"
*Give something away anonymously
*Forgive someone who has treated you wrong
*Turn away wrath with a soft answer
*Visit someone in a nursing home
*Apologize if you were wrong
*Be especially kind to someone with who you work
*Give as God gave to you in Christ without obligation, announcement, or reservation, or hypocrisy
