I have posted this not to solicit money but to provide a permanent location of instruction and source for the Jpay process, and the form needed that can now be printed out from page 2 of this post. I am always having to procure copies of it to mail to my family and friends. This will now save me postage and time, where that is concerned.
Plus, maybe some of my readers have family or a friend they want to help but don't know how. And now they do.
So please, do not misconstrue this as a post asking for money! I simply thought that this would be a nice addition to my other "how prison works" posts and answer more questions that may not be out there. I know that, in this day and age, a lot of people know someone who is incarcerated and curiosity of their world is natural. I hope that with my posts I have shed some light not just on myself but those such individuals as well. If any readers have any additional questions, feel free to ask.
What do prisoners do with money?
They purchase food from the prison store or property items such as shoes, a TV, typewriter (or ribbons). They purchase magazine subscriptions, books, pay for school courses, etc. Some send it back out to their kids.
