Dear Opal,
No, this is not Duncan. It's Daisy. Our dog from Millgate. Although Duncan looked the same and he was like one of the kids. Do you remember how spoiled we had him? He wanted Wendy's burgers! He did think he was our kid.

He wasn't our only baby. You and I were only—what, 17 back then? That wasn't just a different time, it was a different world. And I never saw any of this coming. Adults give youth such a hard time about love.

Life is too short to be hung up on ages. Everyone said we were too young to be married, to have our own home, cars, jobs, kids. So much responsibility. But if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Well, not from that time period.
