Dear Danielle,
You were incarcerated? That would explain your empathy.
Normally, people don't have empathy for us in here. I constantly have my "crime" thrown back at me, used as a knife, driven into my soul at the turn of every conversation that goes bad for someone else.
I am curious to know more about you and your experiences. Whatever you were in for, and for however long, I hope that society took you back with open arms. Because you certainly have a heart and a kind soul. I hope that today all of your calendar squares are highlighted with love, attention, and the happiness that you deserve.
My squares remain empty. But with words lie these you have sent me, my calendar is not quite so bleak. Thank you for that, and feel free to continue writing. And if you have any questions, anything at all, don't hesitate to contact me and let me know.
