Well,
I am writing to say that I have been trying, still, to get this book published. I just wanted to give an updated on my status.
It's been hard for me because I am looking for a place to live upon release, but there are very few people who, a lot of times, can look at the person and not their past or a number that they are labeled by. I have, I think, written like 20-40 places in the last month with no responses. However, I know that something will happen.
I am still waiting to see if I make parole as well. I hope that I get to be. God knows how much I need to be with my family. I know everything is in His capable hands and, as down and depressed I get sometimes, I know He brings me through all of it, and I will be okay. This is not His plans nor is it the extent of my life.
Stay safe, everyone, and wish me luck.

You said Texas, but not where specifically. Have you tried contacting DOORS Texas Reentry Network? They serve North Texas, Dallas and Tarrant specifically. I'll send you their contact info anyway. Maybe they can help you.
