Subject: Christian conscience?
Hello, world.
As a military veteran with 2 1/2 years in combat, my heart is crushed regarding current actions related to the Kurdish people. Our future (America) has just taken a turn for the worse and many of our children will die in future warfare due to these current political decisions.
I love our nation! I believe in the Constitution! I admire our rights and freedoms paid for by blood and sacrifice of the Declaration of Independence.
I am a Christian, and I am a pro-life and Republican.
Saying that, I challenge any Christian with a conscience about how you can support the actions and character of President Trump?
I beg you—beg you—to pray and as God Almighty to remove the veil from your eyes. As Christian conduct goes, we as a church should never accept this type of behavior. Why are we allowing it from OUR president?
Is this all about white fear? What do we have to fear? If we are Christians, there is nothing to fear. We certainly should not compromise integrity because of it.
That is what the German people did in the 1930s, and we know the results of that.
Please pray for clarity and truth, and stand strong for justice (Psalm 37).
Yay! I get to vote again next year! Halleluja, Yeshua!

Unfortunately, as much as the media wants to point the finger solely at Trump, the Kurds have been getting this neglect from USA many times before. The main difference this time around is the Kurds had vocally expressed faith in Trump's early promises and are understandably angry at the broken trust.
Obama had promised military aid for the Kurds' independence during his presidency but retracted when the strong anti-war rhetoric prominent at the time overturned him. Before that was Bush who was very wish-washy about dealing with them at all due to similar economic reasons as Trump (protect the oil trade through alliance with Turkey, etc.). Almost nothing significant from Clinton. And so on, etc.
And remember, it was Western civilization that made them landless to begin with. From the BBC:
"Why don't they have a state?
Despite their long history, the Kurds have never achieved a permanent nation state
In the early 20th Century, many Kurds began to consider the creation of a homeland - generally referred to as "Kurdistan". After World War One and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, the victorious Western allies made provision for a Kurdish state in the 1920 Treaty of Sevres.
Such hopes were dashed three years later, however, when the Treaty of Lausanne, which set the boundaries of modern Turkey, made no provision for a Kurdish state and left Kurds with minority status in their respective countries. Over the next 80 years, any move by Kurds to set up an independent state was brutally quashed."
Keeping that in mind, the recent change of heart just stabs all the more deeper. :<
I'm glad that you have enough compassion for human goodness and empathy. I can only hope it can be a voice to stay away from warfare.
