CHANCES MATTER

I keep trusting the moments
Based on what somebody said
But now I know things would be better
If I just see the vision in my head
Once the past is gone I can't go back
I try to prepare for the future
But I don't know what to pack
I look down and give attention to my feet
Here and now is all that matters
No way in the present should I be sleep
That chance to sing, shine, love and grow old
Will be forgotten, never happen
Without real peace in my soul
To be, or not to be
Free, or slave not free
I've been fooled by grand illusion
If in the mirror I can't see me
So many things I still have to do
So many changes to pursue
But there will be no greater opportunity
Than to live on Earth in proper place
In peace with my community
