Hi Jade,
How very nice of you to write me, sweetie. Of course I want to get to know you. Thanks for taking the initiative to introduce yourself.
I'm already impressed by you in that not only do you bring out the best in Will, as he says—but to also see you say that you're trying to graduate early so you can complete that aspect of your life with honors before you focus entirely on your lil' one. Well, that says a lot about your integrity too. Very impressive.
And where do you young people pick up values of loyalty, honesty, respect, and love, I wonder? As part of the X-generation raised by foster care and adoption, I'm curious if these are values which you all missed the most in your young lives. I can't imagine what goes through youngsters' minds when they're surrendered to strangers, except maybe a feeling of betrayal. So I really applaud you and Will for upholding such values in your lives together. And on behalf of us parents who failed to uphold those values or honor our responsibilities as parents, I do wholeheartedly apologize.
Like I told Will, Jade, there are a lot of books about raising wee-ones, which would certainly benefit all involved if you were to study them as school books. Trust me on this, dear one, the more you know about their age-appropriate development potential, the more you will be equipped to help them become functional people. That is about the best advice I can give to young parents.
I pray that all went well in labor and that your joy with lil' Haven outshines any post-partum blues hormones may briefly cause.
And speaking of joy, did Destiny introduce you to Will? So you have been her friend for quite awhile? Can you tell me more about her? Everything a dad would want to know, please.
Raising boys with Will's mom was awesome. But when my first lil' girl came into the world, it was something else entirely! I mean, when boys scrape their knees and cry, it was something funny. But when my lil' girl fell and started crying, it would break my heart and make me feel so inadequate. Yeah, I even went so far as to actually steal her and Yashua away from their mom and siblings in an effort to protect and shield her from them. Well, mostly just out of fear, I suppose. The point here is that she awoke in me something I've never experienced, nor can I explain really.
On that nostalgic note, I will bring this to a close and wish you all the best.
Be Blessed.
P.S.
I'm really interested in your lives together, sweetie. And so I encourage you to write me about everything that is going on. I'm also very curious about your short and long term goals in life, if you care to share that information with me.
