Dear LittleBrit,

I just received your comments today (12-8-11) so I apologize for not being able to respond sooner. I was unsure if anyone was reading the blog so I decided only to continue if I got some interest in the course (The Basics). I was beginning to think no one was reading it. I'm very busy facilitating a mindfulness group here and with other projects, so time is precious! :)

It's great that you were able to find inspiration in the blog. So how is the CBT work going? It was such a relief for me when I realized that I don't have to buy into every thought I think. Our thoughts don't reflect who we are, but how we respond to our thoughts does. I have written down a set of values and beliefs, and now I weigh my thoughts against these. Whatever thoughts don't reflect these values I let go of, as if they are just background noise caused by living in a such a varied world.

I think it's great that you were looking for charity work to gain perspective. If only everyone did that!

Well, I hope you are doing well. Always remember that life is beautiful, even with all the pain. Feel free to write me or leave a comment.
