"THE SUFFERING OF THE HUMMEL FAMILY"

Today June 30, 2021 the Hummel family will set in agony as their loved one John William Hummel is murdered by the state of Texas. Can you only imagine for just one moment the pain and anguish they must be going through? Yes I understand that the victims family suffered. I get that and anguish they must be going through? Yes I understand that the victims family suffered. I get that and I feel for them. But what is this purpose victimizing the Hummel family? Their only crime is their loved ones poor misguided possibly drug induced mistake of taking an innocent life. But the death penalty is not going to make this world any safer. Wherefore life in prison would serve the same purpose. No ... it would serve a greater purpose. For it would show the world that we aren't some brutal third world Communist Nation. It would show our evolving standards of decency. It would show our humanity for human life. All this death penalty shows the world is that America is no different than Communist China. Well America murders its citizens at tax payers expense. Where as China will charge the family for the price if the bullet. So we spare the family the price of the execution. That's really nothing to brag about. I hope one day, not too far off in the future, that we as a the great Nation we are suppose to be, will open our eyes and stop victimizing the poor unfortunate families that have to suffer the loss of their loved ones through this State sanctioned homicide. Yes today is a day of mourning for the Hummel family who has suffered for years dreading this day. Suffered for years at the hands of their own government. John William Hummel, another victim of circumstance. Another victim of the state of Texas. May God bless you all. And may this death penalty collapse into the abyss.
