DOES TIME REALLY HEAL ALL WOUNDS?
I was listening to a program on the radio the other day and the old saying "Time Heals All Wounds" was mentioned. It got to thinking....is that really true for someone in prison? While I do not vent and scream as much as I use to about my legal situation, I am still as hurt as I was years ago. I do not think my wounds have "healed" with time, I think I have just gotten use to livng with the pain. I have also learned that people on the outside world gets tired of hearing about it so I try to focus on positive things to tell them rather than the negative. However, that is the crazy thing about prison. We are all hurtinig but no one will talk about it. Men are not supposed to talk about feelings, especially tough men in prison. We don't want to talk about it with our family because we want to put on a good face for them to keep them from worrying about us. So...I am wondering....does time really heal all wounds when the time you are spending is in prison? I don't know the answer to this, I am only pondering the thought. But I guess the positive aspect to this question is I have a lot of time to ponder. LOL
