A Tearless Cry

Transcription

A Tearless Cry

Seeing our mother raped and plundered
Having her children dispersed in the world
Having her lands stripped of her resources
She has refused to go under

A tearless cry

So many years after the people's departure
After much pain from settler's exploitation
We are realizing the essence of beauty inside the
New Afrikan nation

A tearless cry

The pain, murder, beatings and genocide
People have internalized blood in their eyes
No one cries yet they record who dies
Our history has long ago been paralyzed

A tearless cry

Signifies that through it all we are
A strong enduring people and nation
Guided by the wisdom of our ancestors
Motivated by self-determination

A teraless cry

Represents a people who refuses to cry
To watch or just sit idly by
Being victims of the serpent hand of
Injustice

A tearless cry

We have fought through our hurt and setbacks
We have decided not to be the animals we're
Portrayed to be, our eyes are open now
We can see racism is the enemy of
You and me

A tearless cry

We will oppose any form of exploitation
Our job now is to restore and rebuild
The communities and embrace the righteousness
That we know is deep within the heart of
All humanity

Slavery was wrong. No one should have
To be the subjects of others
Under any circumstances.
