The History of Bubba-B! and Khalfani X. Khaldun!

Me and Khalfani met in 1987 at Westville, on their lock up unit. At that time, we were both deep off into the hip hop/rap set. I can recall that Khalfani was good at the human beat box, making nice hip hop beats with his mouth. Funny as it may seem, this is what first attracted me to brotha Khalfani.

We may have spent two maybe three months on Westville's lock up unit before we were transferred to the Indian State Prison where once again we were placed on lock up units. Khalfani went to NSB, I went to IDU. We were apart for a short while until we both were released from lock up. We hollered at each other every chance we got. We always seemed to have that connection that words can't explain, but I think we both realized that we were in for a rude awakening as far as prison and prison treatment were concerned.

We were both moved to E-Dorm at ISP, where we kicked it about "this and that", nothing really, just kicking it. 'Cause at this point and time, our PIC was not in effect. We were still off into our lumpin' stages. Due to the oppressive ways of prison life, me, as well as Khalfani, did our tours on these lock up units. Even though we weren't always together, I always heard that Khalfani was doing well, still holding this line (PIC).

We haven't been together in a few years, so we met up again at MCC (Maximum Control Complex) Supermax at Westville. It was like bio-brothaz meeting for the first time. We stayed up all night talking about old times. It was good to see Khalfani after so long, but we still had that connection that we had at "the ville" (Westville) all those years ago.

At this time both our mentalities have changed, and now our PIC was in effect. You know, as I reflect on this? Khalfani has always been one to do whatever he could for the next brotha. He's always been a stand up brotha, true to his word, good hearted, and really a little ashamed to show his sensitive side. But knowing Khalfani for the last eleven or so years? I've seen it! A true souljah in every sense of the word.

We all should be proud to have Khalfani as a fellow comrade in our struggle for freedom, and he's a big endorser of love and peace, educate and agitate. He is a big endorser of Nation, New Afrikan Nation! And there's nothing wrong with one being proud of one's people.

With all that said,
I say much luv to Khalfani X. Khaldun and all sistaz and brotaz who recognize the need for struggle.

TILL ALL ARE FREE!

Struggle,
