RAVEN'S CALL

Eagles's circle watching, waiting in majestic silence
Golden feathers billow, suspending them in effortless beauty,
Cautious, ever cautious of scense unfolding they watch,
As a man with a boy's heart appears below, naked in body and spirit
They watch as the man with old eyes looks to the sun searching,
Cautious, ever cautious, the eagles circle aloft, waiting, watching.

The bold raven soars, unafraid, unashamed of his place before them he flies,
Closer, ever closer as the man with old eyes offers his arm to perch.
The eagles circle watching, a crown of golden feathers waiting.
The bold raven takes to the man's arm with completeabandon,
No fear, no caution, no apprehension, he looks into old eyes.
He sees into the old man's heart, a gentle heart, a love us heart.

Eagles circle wtching, like inperious rules waiting, protecting the order,
their silence broken as they call out a warning of their displeasure,
Claws press flesh with gentle pain aseye's meet, hearts meet, minds meet,
Uncaring, as two spirits entwine, raven and man, man and raven, exchnagng life stories,
Through gentle eyes, talking of dreams through cerebral embrace, they stand as one,

Closer, closer the crown descends, like vultures, now, without fear,
No longer protecting the order, no longer waiting, they call again,
Too late their anger, too late their fear as man becomes raven, raven becomes man,
Both enveloped in wisdom's cloak, feeling each others joys and fears, they face the crown
Togehter, virtuous in their resolve, ready to stand against judgement.

The crown disperses, unable to understand, unable to see through closed eyes,
Unable to beak the bond they return to their lofty mountian perches to ponder and brood.
Man and raven part, bonded forever, one to earth and one to sky, but both to each other.
Black feathers glisten, lifting their host higher and higher, out of sight, as the
Man smiles with happy sorrow! In the distance, he hears the raven's call.
