Re: Suicide of Scott Rose at MCI Shirley
Dear Counsel Hansberry:
As an interested party, I make this formal request of your office for a formal investigation into the purported suicide of prisoner Scott Rose her at MCI Shirley. This recent suicide happened under questionable circumstances, which I will try to describe to you herein briefly.
Scott Rose was taken to his psychiatric medication (Wellbutrin) by his psychiatrist, Dr. Jerri Walker. Dr. Walker was acting under the orders of Inner Perimeter Security Team members Lt. Keith Nano and Sgt. Mark Richard. As your office is aware, it is illegal for security staff to inject themselves into the decisions of the medical staff, but it is quite commonplace here. In the instant situation, the security staff here (Nano & Richard) believed that Mr. Rose was misusing his medication. Dr. Walker dares not refuse the wishes of the security staff as she would then become the target of their ire.
As you can well imagine, I will be placed directly in harm's way when the abusive security team members find out I have made this accurate report. I cannot fear this fact as I must seek justice for Scott and all the other scores of men who tragically choose death of another day of incarceration in state prison.
Thank you for your time and anticipated prompt investigation into this matter. Lives could well be at stake.
