'WASTED TALENT'

Wasted talent confined within the belly of the beast,
Another statistic, the results of the streets.
Men of many talents, one would be surprised,
Authors of such dexterity; a movie before one's eyes.
Scenes from dreams depicted, a portrait brought to life.
One thought to be Picasso but yet one has earned that right.
Lyrics of such perfection wth a voice like Marvin Gaye,
An extraodinary musician but yet one went astray.
Phenomenal rappers capable of becoming the next Tupac or Biggie Smalls,
Yet they find themselves entertaining behind prison walls.
With catharsis appeal, these are poets a their very best,
Displaying versatility even may a Angelus wuld be impressed.
Johnny Cochroan litigators, very skilled with the law,
Earning many of theie peers freedom beynd the prison walls.
Athletes of every sports, they have mastered the game,
With exception talent able to put Jordan to shame.
But that is all it is, talent that is wasted,
Most become obsolete with futures uncertain.
hopes and dreams has been forgottenm, aspirations no longer exist,
Plans has come to pass and opportunities has been missed.
But, what about you, would you make these same mistakes,
And find yourself forgotten and locked behind prison gates?
Just another statistic, the results of violence,
Prospering to nothing but wasted talent?

Think about it !!!
