KarenW, "WOW" is an understatement to the depth of the problem. Please read CALIFORNIA'S INSIDIOUS SOCIAL CANCER: PRISONS, and soon posted RESPECT YOUR ELDERS (unless they're in prison). Although we can see the waste of $$ and lives firsthand, prisoners have no voice. Change must come from people like you, the people who pay taxes that support this very expensive human stockyard. Please find email addresses for legislators, the * indicates senators who are on the prison committees. The "Dear Legislator" letter is a proposed format.
