Dear Dina,

Good morning, my dear sweet, beautiful friend. Last night, I received your 5/10 letter, and it was great to hear from you.

Mom wasn't supposed to read it to you. She was supposed to type it up. :) But you're welcome. You deserved the apology.

Dina, I'm not backing off this warden. This is my chance to really go after him, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. HE's caused me too much suffering. He's caused guys in here too much suffering, and I want his ass. I just want the punk to know that he can't bully me. He's a b****! And he's never going to return my visits. I wouldn't even try to get my visits returned while he's here. I don't expect to come off DC on June 6.

That's why on June 1, I'm kicking off a hunger strike. I'm aiming for 30 days. Once I hit that mark, I'll take it day by day and see how far I can go. It may do no good, then again it may. We will just have to see. And if nothing else, at least I'm going to try.

Mom is supposed to be typing up another essay about the executions here. When she gets it typed, she can send you a copy. That might be something Thomas wants to post.

I put 8 grievances out of here yesterday. I'm just filing on topics that I'm going to post on my blog.

Look on the net. Under the American Correctional Association. ACA stands for Adult Correctional Institutions see what's the latest edition that they have out and how much it is. I need to get my hands on the latest edition. I had the 3rd edition, but that was 12 years ago.

I'm not getting a good night's sleep down here. This Sgt. Garza who I had trouble with last year is coming through her slamming the door with all the power he has. I think it's funny. He is making other guys mad. And he just started this when I got placed in this cell. Oh well.

11:39 am
I got sidetracked. I had to finish reading this book so I could pass it on. Now a lot to read down here, so I don't like to hold onto a good book for very long. I read it in two days. In about two hours, I'll be going to the law library. Be glad to get out of this heat box. It's hot back here without a fan.

4:17 PM
Got sidetracked again. I'm going to enclose you a copy of the complaint that I'm filing. I'm sending it out to be placed on my blog. Can you check and let me know when it's placed up over there? I hope that they don't take long to get it up. I'm going to send one to Diane. I figure that they're going to come after me some more. One officer just tried to start something when I came back.

When you write, please drop a stamped envelope in with your letter. 'Cause I never know when they may try to put me in a strip cell. I am doing everything I can to keep them from retaliating, but you know how that goes.

I'm going to close for now, my friend. I love you very much! Please take care of yourself and write soon.

Letter of love,
Ronnie :)

Dear Ronnie,

I signed in to BTB to check your blog because I haven't heard from you since early May and I've been worried. Imagine my surprise to see this letter to me! I did receive an envelope labeled #219 but it contained only a copy of your formal complaint. The letter must have somehow ended up getting mailed to BTB instead of me. Fate is a funny thing though, because it ended up reaching me anyway: )

I've been mailing you weekly letters but I have no idea if they are reaching you, or why your mail to me has stopped. Last week I sent you paper, envelopes and stamps. I heard from Crystal and she said you needed them. She sent some too, and your mom was planning to as well. I have been in touch with your mom. She's a great lady and misses you fiercely. She's been getting more mail than me, but a few of her letters have gone missing as well.

Anyway, this letter #219 written in May was the last piece of mail I received from you. I miss you and hope you are well. Please take care of yourself and know that I'm thinking of you and looking forward to your next letter so write again soon. I love you my friend!

Love, Dina
