BOOK REVIEW

WORD MADE FLESH

Hello All!!! I just thought that I would write about the books that I am currently reading. I read so much that it seemed like the most appropriate thing that I could talk about. First of all, I want to say that not all of the books that I read will get a good review. For example, the book that is mentioned to the left titled "THE WORD MADE FLESH"...I would have to say that one is one of the worst that i have gotten ahold of in a long time. It is supposed to be about religion and completely scarry. It is by Jack O'Connel who also wrote the stories "The Skin Palace", "Wireless", and "Box Nine". I think that he should have quit after "Box Nine". It is supposed to be about evil forces, macabre conspiracy and different languages. It says on the cover that the book "Profoundly probes the senses of memory, evil, obsession, and love. It actually probes your sense of wanting to go to sleep and utter confusion!!! I got to page 104 in the book before I had to put it down. It was one that I would have to say form me gets 0 stars. Sorry Mr O'Connel, this one was NOT a winner.
Better luck next time.

DREAMALITY

The next review is a much more plesent one. I was very happy to get this one. It came form a boble study company as a gift for completing their bible study course. It is called "Dreamality" and it is by the famous author Bob Coy. I like the way that he has it written. It is basically answering the question "If you could peer into Heaven's dream for your life, what would you see? And could that dream ever become your reality". It has opened my eyes to many things that are going on in my life. On a very personal level, I NEVER planned on coming to prison, much less getting a sentence longer that I will probably live. It maes me stop and think a lot. This book has helped me put things into perspective on God's plan and my plan not being the same plan. But in the end since I want to do God's will, I will make it that way. God has a dream for me. He has one for everyone. His plan are bigger, grander, and more meaningful that anything that I could ever dream upon my own. When he plants a dream in your heart, he knows how to make that dream coem true. This book has helped me realize all of this. I can now discern between my dreams and God's.
