I think your dream is very important for a lot of people. Keep working on it, it's not an impossible dream!!
I find your writing very interesting! I hope others do as well. This information is not only good for inmates, it's good for all of us.
I had never heard of "Unconditional Positive Regard" but once you explained it.....it makes perfect sense to me.
We should not be in judgement of anyone! We haven't walked in their shoes. When we judge people we assume that they know right from wrong and can control everything they do, which is not always the case. A lot of what goes on in someones mind, body and soul is "unknown" to us, therefore, what makes us so perfect as to judge their actions. There has to be a reason so many people are in prison, and I fnd it hard to believe that "all" of them know right from wrong but "chose" to do the wrong thing. I'm sure that many inmates would like the opportunity to "change" but "don't know how to go about it"; therefore, your program will give them the direction they want, but didn't know existed.
Many people may do things that we disapprove of, however, as you mentioned in your blog.....we don't have to like them (or what they do) but we can still love them as God (or anyone's higher power) intended.
Good luck to you, and your 12 inmates that are participating in your program!

I didn't mean to write Danielle. I didn't realize it until I sent the comment on it's way!
Just another "human error"
