THE KEY TO SUCCESS
The reason I picked this topic to restart my blog with is because it seems to me that people complain about the have nots on a daily bases.
For an individual incarcerated, it seems as if the world is full of opportunity. Maybe because when everything has been taken away you begin to see the value in everything.
I have recently written a Movie treatment with the hopes that somebody will recognize the potential I have as a writer, and maybe commission me for a job.
Now my options in life are limited, which means that I am dependent upon an external resource to get any of the work I need done. Especially when the work can be beneficial for all parties involved.
A friend once told me that people are afraid of success, they would rather live dependent on others for their well being.
So it caused me to wonder where does this conditioning come from?
When you look at the school system in the inner-city you will find individuals given an education and training for a career in servitude. This conditioning carries over into other parts of that person's life, such as financial instability.
A person would rather depend on a job so somebody else is obligated to pay them and their taxes, than to take the reins of their own life. Because then they are not responsible if anything happens or they fail.
Most self made millionaires have one thing in common. They took the reins of their life and took a risk at failing in order to succeed.
So where are all my risk takers? I am asking you to take a risk with me. And regardless of what happens it will be a lesson learned either on how to succeed or how to avoid a similar situation.
But, we will never know if we don't first try.
Until next time, perfect evaluation always corrects error.
Yours truly
