Is there really a movement to end all tobacco in the state of California?

Tobacco is banned pretty much all over the civilized world with emphasis on private citizens as the cause of second-hand deaths. Personally, I am against smoking of any kind as it does often lead to disease of various sorts, but all the energy spent online and among politicians to blame tobacco as this great evil, is just misplaced, sorry, just is.

So what bothers me about these movements is this, too many politicians get points from their constituency ignoring the problems of pollution. Instead of pointing the blame where it will do more in the way of dialogue for solutions, the Government is acting as green-wall for the Big Business interest by ignoring the claims of environmentalists. The true culprits of environmental contamination is and will always be Big Business, there is no other entity on the globe who can pay a pollution fee, then spew out tons toxic poisons into our atmosphere.

Until more energy is put to the real task of controlling corporate lobbyists and their marks, the local and federal governments will continue to dance around the problems and jab restrictions to private citizens, with ineffective or short-sighted legislations.
