Sucker

SUCKER

I ain't no sucker 'cause I go to work
every day, trying to pay my bills
I ain't no sucker, 'cause I'm successful, and you
call wearing a suit to work selling out
I ain't no sucker, 'cause I choose to go home and kiss
my children good night and only sleep with my wife
Don't you think that I'm a sucker 'cause instead of buying
that chain with a piece, I broke the chain of poverty and
miseducation and got me a peace of mind
Or do you think that I'm a sucker, because I'm not
worried about the police kicking in my door at any given time
On the strength though, the only thing that makes me a
sucker is
Sitting here explaining myself to you!
