Dear Blog

I was writing a piece of "hate mail" to the Utah prison industry's answer to my constitutional right to access a law library - contract attorneys! I wrote them, telling them, again, to file the lawsuit. See, they returned it to me, when I told them to file it in December of last year. So now I am facing a statute of limitations issue! So while this engaged, another shows up inquiring if I have any material on mass x acceleration = force.

I had him look in a book of biographies I have, looking under Newton; who was awesome, even if he almost poisoned himself tasting and smelling chemicals. Maybe I relate due to my own "youthful indiscretions" of tasting and smelling various chemicals, but I digress.

So, then I began to think in stellar terms, about the mass of the earth, its acceleration, and how unfathomable the force it equates to. Then I realize just how small we are, even as the whole of humanity, much less as individuals.

Well, the week has been very full. Two days ago I got 6 hours on an electric guitar, and I was able to play along with the curriculum I got through a guitar institute. I followed that with a couple hours on my homemade practice guitar, which I've spent many hours on. Since I got my levels two weeks ago, I get close to 20 hours a week on the electric, and about 10 hours a week on my practice guitar.

I got a job, doing a portrait of one of the fellas' little boy and girl. I also have two sceneries that need to go out by Sunday. I've painted one already. Between my music and art I stay busy.

I'm still training the elderly and infirm at Special Gym in the mornings. Today, we had yoga for an hour after. These two wonderful ladies come in, volunteering to teach us. They are both very awesome people. I hold those who volunteer to help inmates, in the highest regards.

My SOTP therapy is going great. I was a little disturbed that my therapist advised me to drop my grievance against Religious Service's practice of not allowing inmates of low levels to attend chapel services. What they are doing is against D.O.C. policy, and it's wrong. They were doing it to myself, which is why I started the process. I did get higher levels, but they are still doing their "practice" of disallowing lower levels.

I do stand up for justice and what is right, and I stand up to out of line inmates as quick as I stand up against D.O.C. wrongs.

'Til next time
