A Cry into the Abyss
by Nate A. Lindell

"How deep does this go?"
I call out
But I can't hear an echo
I sense my voice was absorbed
Like a drop of water in a plate of pea soup
A thousand feet wide
"Life is killing me!"
"Do you hear?"
I shout; my despair
Tears me apart like a pack of starved wolves.
I want to wash my soul in tears
But can't get one to
Let go
Which only makes me want to cry more
I stare deep into
its
nothing
with even less behind
wondering if I want to land

I just finished the transcription for your post "A Cry Into the Abyss". Good poem, thanks for sharing. Keep writing, and know that the people reading your work on Between the Bars want to help you land. We will be your echo with the outside world :)
