Young man, you did a delightful job of explaining "Man's Life on Earth." It is really, something to think about, on your terms.

"May God Continue to Bless you w/His Grace and Everlasting Loving Care," and I pray that your 20 years are not behind bars!!!!!

A Reader,

GOD BLESS!

By the way...I applaud your appreciation for St. Francis of Asissi. He is my patron Saint. In November of 2006 I became Steven Randolph Francis Roehr. I was exposed to him in my teens and 20's. The seeds didn't blossom into Catholicism for me until my late 40's, but good things take time ;-). I had a 25 year detour through Buddhism (primarily), peppered with generous doses of new age paganism, Scientology, Urantia Book, Delancey Street, Gnosticism, Edgar Cayce, Jane Roberts, Carlos Casteneda, Ayn Rand, and any number of eclectic and sincerely regretted experiences with the occult and the new age until FINALLY being tapped by the Holy Spirit just before moving to Las Vegas in 2005 at nearly 50 years old. Say what you will, but God has a sense of humor, and a great way with irony ;-). I'll expand in letter form. (as stated above), but I just wanted to let you know that I was happy to see St. Francis quoted, and let you know that my current stance isn't as quickly arrived at as it may seem. It's faith arrived at with reason, and much internal travel.

Feels kind of weird just writing on YOUR blog, without you being around much anymore. I hope all is well, and you're inspired to write again. I'll try to get the hang of the letter thing again. I got the new Trevor Rabin, and it is everything I hoped, and then some. No metal on there, I'm afraid, but I know you like all kinds of different music, and he does most kinds on this CD. Some stunning guitar, piano and keys, and bass, (all provided by Rabin), and even great drumming, (by one of Zappa's drummers.). It's so deeply refreshing to have music this different and original in this day and age. I'd send it if I could, but I guess we can't do that. Retirement is getting old fast, so I'm looking for work. Jeanette and Cat still live in Las Vegas, but sadly, since they moved out, we don't see or hear much from them. I was saddened to hear that you aren't hearing from Jeanette either. I'll start work on a letter.

Love you,

Dad

My name is Jessica. I am a 29 year old Psychology student and a writer for a true crime magazine. In hopes of boosting both my career and the content in said magazine, I am hoping to reach out to prisoners and learn more about what they have to say. I am particularly interested in those convicted of violent offenses, but I am not prejudice. I do not know what your charges were, but I’d be happy if you would like to share. I am also looking to learn more about prison life from the prisoner’s point of view, and how the masses behind bars are being handled and affected psychologically by their punishments.
I know as a prisoner you have one of the most unheard voices in the country. That is why I am here. I have no degrees at the moment, but I am hoping to get some kind of experience for my future. If you’re willing I would like to communicate with you via this website and paper mail. I will not barrage you with questions you do not want to answer. Only share what you want to. Realize that I will be doing the same. While I am open-minded to our blossoming friendship, I will not be fulfilling any of your romantic whims. I just want to get that out on the table because I do not wish to make any contacts with prisoners hoping for romantic relationships. I want the communication to be a genuine desire to share thoughts, opinions, and experiences. That being said, I look forward to your response.
Jessica
