Hello, my name is Michael "Yoshi" Nelson. I am an actual creator of the original idea of the A.C.T. program at San Quentin, along with my dear friend, Lady Jay and other community volunteers.
Billie Mizell has long taken credit for A.C.T., now known as ALIGHT Justice, as well as given credit to those who had NO part in fighting for the existence of the program at SQ. I know because I am the main person who did.
She now serves as as Advisory Council person for the "San Quentin Transformation Advisory Council", which is sad as she is someone who feels it is her right to take from those who are incarcerated so she can benefit.
I say all this to:
1. Ask for clarity - on what the main point of this piece is about.
