I am late too. When I heard your mom died, I wrote something to Melanie to tell you; hopefully you got those words by her. We had a mass for a mom who died of cancer and in that mass I prayed for your mom as well.2 marvelous moms!I know you loved to talk with her as much as you could.Now she stays at your side your life long. You can still talk to her, Robert.She sees your pain and listens to what you have to tell her.:) She guides you now. Your mom is in a better place and watches upon you. She sees her son and smiles on you. May this comfort you. Robert, you finally found your way and just go forward on that same path.If you are a good person, you'll attract good people along the way. :) Your momma is just at the other side, you know... Just keep all the happy moments in your heart and in certain things you'll see her face. Hear her voice... :) Those stay for ever in your mind. One of these days you get some money like before. I started 3 petitions that concern him as a Lifer HB135/ SB293/ and one for his clemency through GOv. Wolf. I am now involved with working with Saleem from Lifers Inc. out of Graterford, getting signatures for Lifers Inc. petition they created on their website lifersincpa.org. It is to expand the commutation system in PA. These Senate and House Bills are crucial for Lifers being granted eligibility for parole and resentencing of the 2nd-degree felony murder law in PA. While I'm with you somewhat on the curiosity of celebrating 9/11, I'm disagreeing with you on celebrating May Day. That's like celebrating the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to me. The scale of death are completely different between these two events, but it would still be celebrating death in the name of "patriotism."
I would rather that we called 9/11 something other than Patriot Day. Like Remembrance Day or something similar to that. And make it a week or something like the actual memorial services that were held back then. Oh, and it was Bush and his administration whom authorized this as a holiday back in 2002. Not Obama related at all.
