What do you do? You continue to love them and wait. Sometimes children (and adults) make mistakes. You have to let them make those mistakes. Sometimes, there are consequences for those mistakes. In this case, she cannot have contact with you (and you cannot have contact with her).
That's real and it's a consequence. But you don't stop hoping for change. It happens. We all grow up and learn from our mistakes.
I have to say that you, of all people, know how serious life can be and how big the mistakes can be. In your life, you have tried to understand what forgiveness is - because of what you did.
Your daughter is a young adult who has had many obstacles placed in her path. She is making mistakes - some small and others, perhaps, very big. If I were her parent, I would continue to love her and hope that she finds a good path. If she sought forgiveness from me, I'd give it to her - because she needed it and was my daughter.
Everyone changes as they get older. You did, and so will she.
My name is Anthony Phillips. I was incarcerated with Donnell for some time and I had the pleasure of getting to know him. When he met me I was on a bumpy path to nowhere. I was half way through my second state sentence and making zero plans on how to stay out when I did get out. Donnell and a couple of his friends and peers seen something in me that I never knew was there. They helped me figure out who I really was and what I really cared about. I attended many groups facitilated by Donnell and his friends and hadsny one on one sit down with them. When I left that prison I was destined for a better life. I have since then had a child of my own been loyal to one women who I intend to marry and am living a completely crime free life. I owe more to Donnell and his peers than could ever be repaid. Those guys are walking talking encouragement. I could not have done it without them and I will stand up for them through anything. I don't really know how to use computers a whole lot and I just stumbled across this thing while I was looking for a way to get in touch since JPay doesn't work anymore. I hope he can't see it. Keep your heads up guys your time is coming.
That explained a lot... I have green eyes too! I had blue eyes until I was about five years old and then boom they turned green. Also, it is funny that you mentioned how much you enjoy the water because I am a fish. I literally jumped into the water and taught myself how to swim when I three years old. But the fun doesn't end there... I spend my days off rollerblading down the boardwalk and after go surf or swim in the ocean. Crazy how much we have in common. I wish I remembered you or knew you before you went away. Life is a crazy ride and I am trying to enjoy every minute of it. It would be even more enjoyable if you could make an appearance in my life one day or if I could make an appearance in yours. How would one go about visiting you?
