Thank you for your writing and insights on Solitary Confinement and Administrative Segregation. In my experience, I've seen some news make it to online articles about solitary confinement or reports about how it's a human rights violation, but rarely do I see first-hand accounts made accessible to the public about it. Your writing and sharing of your experiences makes "the hole" a more tangible thing that I can feel in my body and heart in ways that an online article couldn't do. I'm outside here appreciating all your words and the fight you have in you to keep writing, keep sharing, keep going.

Hello One Eagle I got your latest letter and just wanted to touch base with you by dropping you a line here in hopes you will receive this sooner than my snail mail letter that is in the works.
Please DO NOT WORRY, you are NOT putting too much on my shoulders, this is what I am here for to spread the word and help you gain recognition for your cause and for justice. I have already posted your case and links for your address to be written to and your blog site on facebook, and will now post them on twitter. Hang in there, One Eagle, I am here for you.
As for my move to FLorida I will NOT be leaving my mother behind to care for my dad alone, they are coming with me. I told them to come along so I can help them, they are not happy in nm either so I told them I can be of more help if I have an ocean to swim in ;) I would never leave them behind, I don't operate that way.
Meantime my buddy do NOT lose hope I am on the case and I am going to spread word of your situation in every place possible. Would you like me to contact the Florida Governor for your case? Anything you would like me to tell him? I will do that for you. Not even the sky is the limit, my friend. The world is full of opportunities and people who care, we just have to find them and that is what I am doing right now. Please hang in there and remember no matter how long my letters take to get to you, you are always in my thoughts, heart and prayers. Always. I'm pulling for you my friend and I have your back. Don't give up hope and do NOT worry, you are NOT asking too much of me!!!!! Get that thought out of your head, this is what true friends do. Hang in there and I will be sending you your snail mail letter. SO hopefully will others who can help you. Just don't forget the girl who loves ya and made it happen :) I've got your back! Thanks so much for writing! I have been thinking about a similar problem - how negative habits slowly creep into our routines, without our noticing. Your sentence about negative triggers in the morning, really got to me. I recently struggled with that - waking up and immediately thinking that people were against me, or that I was worthless, or that I was somehow living life "wrongly". It was as if I went out of my way to feel bad upon waking up; I would rather sleep than activate my mind and its negative thoughts. Then I realized that my mind just had this bad habit. I then tried waking up and thinking positive things - the day is beautiful; my sleep was great; I cannot wait for breakfast. It is OK to have these positive thoughts; I had to convince myself of this. I read this great quote somewhere; I forget who said it, but it goes along the lines of this: "Don't be afraid of being unfaithful to your sadness, by being happy." Profound words. Anyway, sorry for rambling on about my experience; I just wanted to thank you very much for enlightening me about this tragedy going on in prisons - both physical and mental - throughout America. Keep writing! Can't wait to read the next piece!
