EXPERIENCE JAMAICA

On vacation, if you seek true ambrosia,
Take a cruise to the island of Jamaica

As you venture there's a peaceful aura all around,
A place where disruption will rarely be found;

You can stay in a certain area you may travel afar,
Wherever you go, you will hear the praises of Jah!

Of course all won't accept those who are foreign,
Yet the natives' moral values can't be torn;

You will hear enough differently with a heavy dialect
An interesting part of your visit meant not to forget;

Throughout the streets, the shops, the market place,
You will notice the patience feeling no need for haste;

So visit Jamaica, that's something you must do,
Maybe by then, I would have too.

I was introduced to a Jamaican at an early age who is now my stepfather. His kindness, moral values, along with accent gave me an interest in his culture. Later, I learned about Rastafarians, their history and beliefs.

There are seven main principles that the Rastafarians follow. One is the way of reason, a principle that is formatted in a way, if followed, will take communication to a heightened level. Especially in conflict. Noting that it's not easy and needs to be practiced!

I learned many positive things from Jamaicans and Rastafarians through their beliefs, religion, culture, and actions... Last but not least, their music!

I've experienced Jamaica.

Awkward and Forward

-Still in an awkward situation I shouldn't be much longer. The increasing evil is actually making me stronger.
-I wrote a note to an officer and his immediate superior, stating that you must think all inmate complaints are inferior.
-Due to your numbers, you're confident that I won't receive relief. Well, I'm devising a plan to be an exception to that belief.
-An officer returned and said, "Do you think you're special?" No, but you're sure not and I'm ready to wrestle.
