Your Boogieman 1-24-13

How necessary is the trait of humans to blame their problems on others? S/he MADE me mad. Perhaps it was their inability to control their emotions which made them mad. In a world where everything has opposites, me, prisoners are a necessary boogieman where society at large can point the finger and blame their woes and ills on.

Recently a spokesman for California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA) had said that due to the releasing of prisoners from the alignment program (which in order to ease overcrowding in California prisons, low level prisoners are being released earlier) has CAUSED property crime to go up. And the CAUSE of that? The prisoners, of course! However, what media pundits have failed to mention was the fact that there is no work for the majority of people. That is, of course, in low-income communities. And as rain will CAUSE one to put on a coat and grab an umbrella, with no food in belly or little money to buy the necessities of life, that too, will CAUSE one to seek funds in whatever way possible. Now, if crime was to cease to exist, no murders, robberies, assaults etc, what crime would be left? Better yet, what criminals would society have? Well, now that there's no one to steal... the banks will have a hay-day of robbing every and anything. With no killing people, the mercenary companies that the state hires and contracts will love the killing of other people. Not to mention the state's protectors, army, navy, Marines, air force, heck, they kill more people than any or all criminals combined. Now that there's no more drugs to be sold, big drug companies like Advil and Tylenol... to name a few, will monopolize the drug business. Maybe, just maybe, companies that produce chemicals that are used for the killing of humans would be arrested and charged for crimes against humanity.

How befitting that we, the lower level of 'criminals', are taking the majority of blame. Why... we are just the little criminals. I really don't see no one speaking out on the big criminals, which I mentioned above, with the exception of hard line activists. I came to prison for burglary but big companies like A.I.G., Bank of America and others can take away a family's homes without no repercussion! All hopes and dreams to have a house vanquished. Book-keeping, loan-sharking... crimes for us (of the lower stratum of society) yet, for banks their livelihood is based on loan-sharking! They charge interest and the money they have, well, others, that money they gamble on. No wonder Andrew Jackson wanted them out!

What I have stated here barely scratches the surface. To people who know the reality of things this is nothing new. However, to those that think life is such a beautiful thing... to others it's a hell. A cruel reality billions live every day. And for me... I'm a, what you label "criminal"... I hope that you come to realize the true criminals in society.
