Celebration Invitation

Celebration Invitation

There are times when the simplest things intrigue me. Like just now I poured two teaspoons of strawberry watermelon drink mix into a peanut butter jar, which I use as my drinking cup. I sit minutes on end just smelling it. Looking at the sugar crystals.

Then the water. Cold water. And my favorite part. When you stir the crystals into the water. It's like a chemical reaction to me. Like I'm a scientist or God creating something.

The way the sun shines through my window as I'm washing my hands and glance over my shoulder. The plexi-glass is half in shadow and the cement is...

It's so hard to explain!

A spoonful of peanut butter. To eat it slowly. So much substance in so little a spoonful.

Anyway, April sixteenth, yesterday, marked the exact five year anniversary since my attempted escape and my latest solitary stint began. Five years exactly.

I marked this day by mailing out two ten page court motions, one to the court clerk and one to the district attorney. Responses to "motion to dismiss" my Green v. Downs lawsuit.

My delusions of grandeur have me believing that starting now things will begin happening. I'll get a team of lawyers. We will collaborate. Outsmart.

Then the devil on the other shoulder pokes my ear saying: "You'll lose it. No one will step up to help you. Your lawsuits aren't good enough..."

But in between these two, the more sane voice, tells me that I'm on my own but will be able to outsmart them anyway. That I've dragged the whole thing this far. Might as well carry it home.

I invite everyone to log on to the "Pacer" legal paperwork website and read my: "Response to defendant's motion to dismiss plaintiff's civil rights complaint and supporting memorandum"; "Green v. Downs 2:12-CV-00432".

You'll get a kick. Or an itch to tear down a prison building. And, also, this is an invite to the world to attend my parole hearing on 05.28.2013, 2pm. Let's make it a flash mob :)! 14430 S. Bitterbrush Lane, Draper, UT.
