INDIGNATION OF ALIENATION

"Crime belongs to the concept. Revolt against social order. One does not 'punish' a rebel. One suppresses him. A rebel can be a miserable and contemptible man, but there is nothing contemptible in a revolt as such and to be a rebel in review of contemporary society does not in itself lower the value of a man. There are even cases in which one might have to honor a rebel, because [she]/he finds something in our society against which war ought to be waged. [She]/He awakens us from slumber."
—Friedrich Nietzsche

Not only am I at the mercy of looking at views from the media's perspective but must also view what they show. What I do and have been seeing is marches and protests by people outraged over the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman in the slaying of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

I see reverends calling for peace, calm, and putting faith in the "justice system." Along with this "faith" in the justice system is the petition to the U.S. Justice Department to file civil rights violation charges against George Zimmerman. I can only shake my head in disappointment. In a trial that touched the hot-seat of "racism," many blacks were outraged by the not guilty verdict. This country has a dark history of genocidal tendencies and national oppression. From the wiping out of Native to enslaving Afrikans and stealing of land. Most citizens deem this country as the best. And just as man is close to building a time machine, that statement is farther from the truth.

There is nothing wrong with people venting.

While I"m on the subject of racism, let me say that for people who categorize people as "race" need to get the facts straight. Scientifically, there's no such thing as "race." Race is a socially constructed word to demean minorities. There are ethnicities and more so nationalities but no race. Race only masks national oppression.

There is anger and frustration in the streets but how many are attacking the very system that makes laws and the system that carries them out? People are boycotting Florida in order to pressure that state to repeal its "stand your ground" law, but how many are boycotting the government? It's like getting mad at a homeless man for not living in a home, but not willing to critique the housing market or corporations that lay people off and offer no jobs. What kinda shit is that?

A cycle continues and will continue unless the whole system is dismantled. This nation professes to be for the many, but its deeds and doings prove it's only meant for certain people!
