REFLECTION UPON 2nd Timothy 3:16

I pray that God may enable me,
To use my writing for reproof.
That he may help me to use his words,
As "sledge hammers of truth".

To "beat upon the iron hearts",
Of men grown cold by sin.
To batter down the bolted door,
And let the savior in.

I pray God may give me wisdom,
To use his words for instruction.
To keep people from that "broad road",
That only leads to destruction.

I pray that he inspires me,
To write using "sound doctrine",
As a scalpel for the blinders.
Of those who would just "mock" sin.

Oh Lord, the Sword of your Spirit,
In my hands for righteousness
May help open my brothers' eyes
To the dangers of divisiveness.

Give me words to use as X-rays,
First of all, for self reflection.
That I may uncover ways,
To use them for correction.

Bless me, I pray, O Father God,
Whose name I magnify.
To use this gift you've given me,
That I may edify.

Then - when I begin to grow weary,
When I myself, begin to tire.
Refresh me once again, my Lord,
With the anointing I require.

2nd Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
