To A Stranger

to a stranger

This is a poem for a stranger out there,
who's willing to listen and open to share,
it comes from a man with one simple goal,
to be a part of your life and share parts of my soul,
and enjoy a few laughs or share a few cries,
i need you to know i'm not like other guys,
i too know what it feels like to end up in pain,
and to be played like a monopoly game,
that's why i make an attempt to trace these lines with my pen,
and bear the truths of my soul in hopes of finding a friend,
then who know what can happen but we can take it from there,
right now all i can say is these occasions are rare,
so here i reach out to a person i don't even know,
to start a friendship that can potentially grow,
i'm not asking for the world just what time you can spare,
i promise to be truthful and always show you i care,
so let me be that ear when you feel no one will listen,
or your four leaf clover when you don't feel like wishing,
even your sense of strength when life beats you to the ground,
or that reason to smile when you're wearing a frown,
i'll be your candle should you get lost in the dark,
these are just some of the thoughts i hold in my heart,
thanks for reading my poem hopefully i'll talk to you soon,
you can be my freedom even though i'm locked in this room.
