Voiceless

Simple words never touched you
And when big words were used
You said you couldn't understand
So I found myself at a loss
I didn't know what to say
I didn't know how to say it
Simple words would amuse you
Intelligent ones confused you
So I just stayed quiet
I then let my heart do the talking
Still you didn't understand
Because it spoke too fast
My soul was of no use
Because its speech was too heavy
So I asked my eyes to let you know
But you refused their stare
So my mind also refused
For you refused to jog
Around inside anymore
So I asked my hands
And when they reached out to you
You walked away from them
And now
There are no more voices
Willing to talk
