I Could Never Thank You More

I could never thank you more! It touches me deeply that someone I do not hardly know at all tried to send me $25 to my account. :) It was done anonymously. I wish deep down in my heart I could thank you or repay you! I truly do, for someone to take the initiative to be that thoughtful for me! Unfortunately, most do not know or are even aware of the state of Texas withdrawing any money sent to offenders' accounts.

I have been incarcerated since 2009 and have not gone to commissary once. And it was truly heartbreaking to find out that couldn't receive one cent due to court fees, medical expenses, and indigent supplies. I wish there was a way you could have known. Because then you could know the state of Texas withdraws from one's account(s), even if it was donated.

Go figure.

So for future reference, all I am allowed is someone opening an account in my name with EPS (eliteparalegalservices.com; 1717 Appleton, WI 54912-1717) and having them notify me for purchases of books (those I can trade for items I can use :)) and magazines. Those may look on texasgov.com/ecom.com and it will allow someone to purchase what they select. This, I have not done ever! Every 90 days.

I wouldn't want anyone else wasting their hard-earned money, and I sincerely thank whomever thought of me. I thank you dearly. It's a shame the state will do all it can to prevent us from having the simplest things like deodorant and toothpaste. Although I have nothing I try to provide for myself by drawing for others.

Females, if you have loved ones incarcerated and have received neat little cards, handkerchiefs, or illustrator boards, you know what I mean. :) They do not allow us to do this for profit. They say it is an establishing a business. LOL! So they expect us to sit back and watch others enjoy buying themselves ice cream and soda, candy bars—things they need, every human being needs. Aren't I human also? Shouldn't I deserve to try and provide for myself? If I can?

Some can't even draw a straight line. We work but don't get paid. I don't get how the state could take a donation and still not expect us to try and get what we can. Inmates aren't very friendly to those that run around stinking without deodorant, they make fun of them. I apologize for complaining. I know some do not care to read about someone complaining about their rights, etc.

Today is commissary day. Everyone is excited running around, playing holding spots for each other as they care through the door to the wing. They reach into their bags. (I have no bag.) They pull out ice cream sodas and cookies, gather tables, and gorge. :) (I have no ice cream or soda.) Later, they return to the table with chilies, soups, and chip bowls filled with spreads, salsas, beans, and tortillas. (I have no bowl.) Why? Because I could not throw a little in to share with the group. People don't like baths either in here. Later, you will see the groups make their cookie pies. These large cake-looking desserts topped with icing sprinkles if Mom's chocolate dipping. (I have no slice.)

We suffer in more ways than most think. Yes, we are fed but who would not agree that having this pleasure would be nice.
