IN THE LIFE OF CONNECTICUT PRISONER #9

By Richard Stevenson

Greetings free world! The reason for the delay in this post is because we are dealing with a unit counselor and others who are advocating to have the typewriters removed. Meanwhile, he's doing what he can to deny/limit our access to it. This would effectively deny us access to the courts. Keep in mind that there are people here who are innocent, over-charged and therefore serving excessive sentences, didn't get adequate representation, or didn't receive a fair trial and are addressing the courts which, in this state, require appeals, motions, etc. to be typewritten.

My heart and sympathies go out to Michael Brown, his family and friends. The two things prisoners are guaranteed to be afraid of are close family members getting arrested or becoming the victims of a crime. It is far easier to give the government some of our authority than it is to take it back. Yet so often we must do so. Our government thrives by the authority we give it. When it becomes abusive and murderous we must do all we can to retrieve the authority.

Sometimes it is necessary to stop government in its tracks. One way prisoners have learned to do this is to use its own words against it. I implore everyone to learn to look up case law and read it. You can start with recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings. The process is very simple to do. Teach it to your sons and daughters. it's nearly like sitting in the courtroom for the juicy parts. These cases are what it used to justify confiscation of your rights! READ! READ! READ! I promise you'll find many fascination cases. The more you read the more you will come to understand how our justice system really works compared to how you are told it works.

Legal Technicality (Loophole): A method of escape, in law, provided by the "elite" for the "elite" when said method is used by [others]. The elite refer to this method as [a state given right]. This method is usually hidden in plain sight.

NEVER GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO DEFINE

Another thing I'd like to share with you is a radio program I've been listening to here in Connecticut, Saturdays @ 6pm pm 90.7 FM. It's called ON THE MEDIA and is distributed by NPR. They do a wonderful job of discussing media coverage on many different topics over the course of an hour. Shout out to the host Ms. Gladstone. I'm looking forward to hear from you all.

Rich.
