I have had little to do with the justice system in the USA. Or even Australia, to actually take a step back and look at the big picture , it's a real eye opener , I watch the CI (criminal investigation channel ) It shows the harden criminals and the prison system at it's worst, reading your bloggs, I have come to realize that not all prisoners are beyond help , what I have learnt , the majority of prisoners have just made bad decisions , fallen off the rails , a prisoner help program would give these people hope , lite at the end of a long tunnel , I believe we as everyone has an obligation to at least try , at least reach out in some small way and say " hey , your not forgotten" and for all of you in this situation , I for one know there are some incredible people out there who just need a voice ...

American prisons are the shame of the free world. I'm ranting. But I'm passionate.
I have asked my fellow colleagues their opinion about the prison population in the U.S . Generally the opinion is " the yanks are better at catching them than we are , have I not seen the CI channel about the American justice system ? it is clear that such programs do not help educate the general public but rather , predigest their opinion.
It is sad that this has the effect that it does , I only hope that our educational system will one day see that you can't be a free and wonderful place to live if predigest are taught to our youth ,,, it's not only America that needs to change it's attitude but the entire Western world ,,

Thank you for your email , I agree totally with all that Paul has written , it's shameful that so many men and woman are used as pawns ,, I don't believe in The great America. I do believe in the great SHAME ,,,
Our system here seems so much fairer. We have programs which encourage our inmates to better themselves, to give them a little push in the other direction ,,
I am pleased to meet yet another like minded person as Paul and I ,,
