Hey, Oprah. I just want to tell someone my story. So even if you never see this, well...
I just turned 46 and I'm in prison in Texas. I'm doing two concurrent sentences for sexual assault of a child. I am gay and have been openly gay since I was 18. I was molested by my step-father from the age of 4-11. I joined the army when I was 20, suffered a massive heat stroke, and I have been suffering from a major mental illness ever since. I have tried to kill myself many times and have self-mutilated myself many times. I have been jumped by prison gangs and severely beaten several times. The part is that the guards just watched.
I have been raped and extorted, and the state of Texas didn't help because of my charge and the fact that I'm gay. The worse thing is I have never sexually hurt anyone. I plead guilty because I was hurt because two young men I thought were friends said I had hurt them. I want to tell the story, but I don't know how. Please help me get this off my chest.
