Ponderings and Currents
Well, I know that a lot of time has passed since my last post. This is due to being in a "wait and see" position as to how the state will comply with the court order to reduce overcrowding and a severe lack of comments to any previous post. It would be a lot easier to generate posts if there was a dialog as to whether you the reader agree or disagree with my point of view.
Up till now, all that has happened is a bunch of rhetoric from various officials, both lauding and chastising the realignment idea that is currently being implemented. The lies that have a hold on the populace as to the nature of the average inmate are still propagated by the news entities and the sources they run to for sound bites. It makes one wonder whatever happened to the art of critical thinking? The masses feed on the drivel spewed out by both politician and new anchors, and there is little search for truth. In fact, I would like to submit that there are few who are genuinely interested in truth in its completeness.
Often, we as humanity are satisfied simply with what appears to be true or good, just as long as it doesn't interfere with the routine of our daily lives. I welcome your comments as to this idea or any previously posited.
