Bonjour, ma cherie, et comment vas-tu? Très bien, j'espérer. This old machine won't make your accent marks, but I thought you'd enjoy a greeting in your language.

We are fair to partly cloudy in my land—comme ci comme ça—and at long last, I received your note of looking out the window as you held Leslie in your arms and enjoyed the expanse of the Rocky Mountains as they unfolded before your eyes.

Wish I were there to share in those delights, but I'm tied up here with baby Noelle. Without her mother's presence, she knows that all she needs to do is flash those emerald green eyes my way, and I'm as soft as butter. We anxiously await your return stateside in April. I continue to try to teach her a new word each day, but I struggle more than her. I'll mispronounce the word; she'll correct me and say, "C'est facile." Of course, I'll blush and tell her, "Non, c'est difficile..." Ah, she's just like her mother, as beautiful as the last butterfly of summer, and just as precious.

We miss you. Hurry home to our hearts. Je t'aime.
