Hi j.c.,
Great to hear from you. I'm glad you liked my blog post. Some people think that giving prisoners privileges is being soft on crime. Somehow, in their minds, abusing and mistreating prisoners equals justice. What they don't realize is that most people in prison are not bad or evil.
Generally, something happened in their lives that created the conditions which resulted in a trip to prison. These people should be helped, healed, and encouraged to get their lives back on track.
Family and friends are the people who will do the most to keep their loved one out of prison. Pizza Sundays create great memories and a positive foundation for those personal connections which are so important to everyone.
